A dark space designed specifically to house Rothko murals. There are benches where you can sit facing the walls (the artwork) or the empty space in the middle that has light peeking in from the top. It is very solemn and spiritual, kind of like a church, a perfect place to meditate and contemplate. No photos allowed and there are multiple security watching, so I was surprised to see that they made an exception for RM (of course). Unfortunately I read in the news recently that the building was destroyed by a storm and is now closed 😦
