I love this whole museum but in June 2023 I went specifically to see the Seurat painting depicted above. I stood next to it. I walked to the end of the gallery and back, to figure out how close one has to be to see the dots. Seeing it in person made me notice features I had missed before.

If you like this painting I also strongly recommend seeing the musical “Sunday in the Park with George” which is all about how Seurat painted it!
